Privacy Policy

In short

Munin does not collect any data. Your photos, screenshots, questions, answers and chats are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Who we are

This policy covers the Munin app for iPhone and this website. Munin is made by DSNV TECHNOLOGIES LTD (Cyprus, HE480378) (“we”), which is also the controller of any personal data we do handle, such as an email you send us. Our registered office and company details are on the Company information page.

What Munin does on your iPhone

• Your photo library. With your permission, Munin reads your photos and screenshots on the device to build a search index: the text it recognises, short descriptions and image features. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
• Where it is stored. The index, your chats and your settings are stored only in Munin's app container on your iPhone. They are deleted when you delete the app.
• Questions and answers. The AI models that read your questions and write the answers run on your iPhone. Your questions and answers stay on the device.
• Spotlight and Shortcuts. If you use these features, iOS keeps the related entries on your device.

Network use

Munin itself sends nothing over the network. The only downloads connected with Munin are made by Apple and iOS, and neither carries your library or your questions:

• The AI models. Munin's on-device AI models (about 4 GB) are delivered by the App Store with the app, from Apple's servers, during installation; Munin itself sends nothing. Apple provides this service under its own privacy policy.
• Translation language packs. Munin can use the iOS system translation. iOS may download the language packs it needs; iOS handles this download itself.

Once the models are on your iPhone, Munin works offline.

Sharing

Nothing is shared unless you do it. When you use “Share the find”, Munin passes the highlighted shots and a short text to the iOS share sheet, and you choose where they go. We do not receive what you share.

Ratings

Munin may occasionally ask you to rate it using Apple's standard rating prompt (SKStoreReviewController). Ratings and reviews are handled by Apple; we do not receive information about you from that prompt.

Children

Munin is not directed at children under 13. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

If you write to us

If you email us, for example to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you, and keep it only as long as we need to handle your request. We do not use it for marketing and do not pass it to anyone else.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It is a set of static pages. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the controller of no personal data from the Munin app: the app sends us nothing, so there is nothing about you for us to access, correct, export or delete. All of Munin's data is on your iPhone, and you can delete it at any time by deleting the app.

If you have written to us, you can ask us to access, correct or delete that correspondence.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Cyprus this is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. You may also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
