Why does Munin need about 4 GB?

Munin's AI models run on your iPhone, so they have to be on your iPhone. Munin's on-device AI models (about 4 GB) are delivered by the App Store with the app, from Apple's servers, during installation; Munin itself sends nothing.

Use Wi-Fi if you can, and make sure your iPhone has at least 4 GB of free space for the models, plus some room for the index, which grows with your library. If the download did not finish, Munin shows its progress and resumes it on Wi-Fi. Once the models are in place, Munin works offline.

How long does indexing take?

It depends on how many photos and screenshots you have and on your iPhone model. You can ask questions while it works; shots it has not read yet will not appear in answers until it has.

To keep it going, keep Munin open, or let it index while your iPhone is charging.

Do my photos leave my phone?

No. Munin reads your library, builds its index and answers your questions on the iPhone. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. Shots leave the phone only if you share them yourself through the share sheet. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Munin's index, chats and settings are stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone and are removed with it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing else to delete.

Which languages does Munin support?

Munin's interface is available in 12 languages. It follows your iPhone's language, or you can choose a language for Munin alone in Settings → Apps → Munin → Language.

Which iPhone and iOS do I need?

Munin requires iOS 26 and an iPhone with enough memory for on-device AI; the supported models will be listed here before release.

How do I report a problem?

Email [email protected]. It helps to include your iPhone model, the iOS version, the Munin version, what you asked and what you expected to see. Munin never sends us anything on its own, so we see only what you put in the email. Send screenshots only if you are comfortable sharing them.
